I’m sure you’ve seen a foam roller at your gym, Pilates studio, or even on TV. Or maybe you already have one and don’t quite know what to do with it. The roller is quite a magical piece of foam. It can be used as a personal massage or as a way to step up your workout. This is a 5 minute video on how to stretch with the roller. The rule is, if it feels like a bruise, you need to keep doing it! The roller is there to work out the kinks. I promise!! It gets easier!!!!! Do this after every workout and feel the difference!!! 🙂
So, where can I get a roller? They are actually pretty easy to find, OPTP.com, REI, Target, and probably any sporting goods store. I recommend the firm rollers, sometimes called pro-rollers, which are 6″ round and 36″ in length. They come in a variety of colors and usually cost around $35.
