New Year, New You!

Jan 2, 2018 | Acupuncture, News

Happy New Year!  We would like to express the gratitude for the gifts of 2017. We should never underestimate the importance of gratitude. But let’s be honest here, there were a lot of things over the past year which were, oh how should we put this, a challenge? Trying? Difficult? Down right crazy making? Feel free to pick your favorite descriptor.

Whether it be in the realm of politics, environment, economics, or just about anything else you can think of, 2017 brought with it some unexpected twists, turns, and outcomes. This resulted in many of you with whom we spoke to express some frustration, anxiety, or just out right exhaustion.

It is important to acknowledge these struggles from the previous year as we look to the new year which lies before us, because it can help provide us a template for the things we would like to change, the directions in which we would like to grow, and goals we would like to achieve moving forward.

One of our main focuses here at Bodies on Point is encouraging you, your friends, your family, your co-workers, heck even the guy or gal we meet on the street to invest in self-care.

Self care is an investment in your future self. All too often our default is to neglect our selves. This is not only detrimental to our own mental, physical, and spiritual well-being, but to those around us in our home, office, and the world at large. And so, with the New Year upon us, we would like to support you in the process of caring for you. Resolve to take some time every day, every week, every month to do something which bolsters and uplifts you. Whether this be sitting quietly for five minutes before bed, drinking more water, eating more whole grains, or getting the occasional acupuncture treatment, let this year be the year you care for yourself as much as you care for those around you.

And at the end of this year, I guarantee you will be grateful you did.

From our family to yours, have a happy and healthy New Year!
