Everyone likes something sweet, and even more when it’s not too guilty of a sweet treat! Well, have I got the BEST seasonal treat for you! Spiced, warm pears and apples! Apples and pears are perfectly in season! And pears are soooo good for nourishing the Lung Yin which is what we want strong this time of year to prevent colds and flus this winter.
Spiced Pears or Apples
Slice 3-4 pears or apples into 8ths
In a bowl combine 2T melted butter, ¼ t cinnamon, ¼ t ginger, ¼ t cloves, 3T brown sugar. Toss fruit with the sauce. Arrange in a baking pan and bake on 350 for about 10 min. Serve warm (and maybe top with a small dollop of whipped cream)
