On This Harvest Moon . . . |
The days are getting shorter, the mornings are definitely crisper, and we are officially in FALL! The name is Harvest Moon is definitely fitting as many of us are harvesting our goodies from our gardens and thinking about prepping for the cooler days ahead. This is the time of year when we need to focus on the health and wellness of our Spleen and Stomach. Foods that are mildly sweet, yellow or golden, round foods, millet, corn, carrot, cabbage, garbanzo beans, soy beans, squash, potatoes, string beans, yams, tofu, sweet potatoes, sweet rice, rice, amaranth, peas, chestnuts, filberts, apricots, cantaloupe are the best foods for stomach Qi. Eating well right now will keep you healthy all year long! How you care for your gut does matter. Eating seasonally and healthy most of the time is important. With back to school, make sure you nourish and honor your spleen with all the overthinking, take brain breaks, and enjoy these long days with cooler evenings for walks. |

We sometimes let things go so long that we begin to think these are “normal” things that go with aging. While aging and life does come with a lot of changes, they shouldn’t make us miserable. *Maybe you need to rethink your lifestyle? *Maybe working in some complimentary wellness can help you be your best you! *Maybe trying out my Detox Tea with some herbal/ food suggestions and/or Acupuncture or Massage or Pilates would help you get back On Point? *If you don’t know what you need, feel free to email us or call and let’s chat about what appointment might be best for you! *Book an appointment with any of the ladies at Bodies On Point and let’s get you On Point! |
